It's Bathing Suit Season!

It's Bathing Suit Season!

Hello all,

This is Joyce Schmidt, design team member for Krazy Kreations. I am coming to you today with a fun paper doll from Krazy Kreations new line of chipboard paper dolls and matching outline stickers. They are so much fun to decorate and display, especially with the new magnetic frame display board.

Swim Girl

My Paper Doll Collection

It took me a long time to create “Grace”, because I wanted to produce something that would show off her fabulous long legs and tiny waist. She has a fun adirondack chair that enhances the beach motif.

I picked out a paper pad that was beach themed and was monochromatic in peach tones. I adhered the chair, beach bag, and bathing suite, to various papers in the collection to give all the elements the same tones but different patterns.

I used the Krazy Kreations warm highlights glitter paper on the lemonade, I used Copic color y19 to add a pop of a different color. I cut the palm trees away from the beach bag and put it down on the Glitter paper to give it a nice shimmery look. I left the osprey uncolored except the tip of the tail.

Once I started to put it all together I realized that she was blending in too much so I decided to switch from the Copic E11 to E23 giving her a DARK tan. Then decided her hair needed to be Dark as well. I used E18 to give her a dark brown tone.

Magnetic Frame

I had so much fun creating her. I used various other mediums from my collection to add that special finishing touch to my background. I think the 1960’s looking young lady is now ready to take her place as “Grace” in my collection, and have fun in the Sun. Hope you have enjoyed how I made her and think you will have fun creating yours as well.

Have a great day and HAPPY CRAFTING!

Sincerely,

Joyce Schmidt
